Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

When contacting me at LayerWP, the use of a contact form is required, the email comes directly to my email address and stored as an entry. Once the request has been sent, I manually delete the entry.

Confirmation you are willing to for me to respond to your initial query via email is required via a checkbox. No submissions will be accepted until the confirmation box is confirmed.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

The purpose of us using this software is to understand our website traffic in the most privacy-friendly way possible so that we can continually improve our website and business.

We do not share your data, comments are stored for your right to reply, you of course can contact me to delete your comment. Your data is not shared with third party advertisers.

Newsletter service

Visitors to LayerWP can sign up for an email newsletter, the service used, is called Mailerlite, you can find out more Mailerlite here.

All subscribers require an email confirmation as proof that they wish to receive further communications from me.

User data is stored until the point they no longer wish to receive email (unsubscribe), at that point user data is removed permanently.

How long we retain your data

If you subscribe to the newsletter, your data will be stored until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
