I’ve been working on WordPress for over 15 years.

Mostly developing plugins, but also fixing plugins and supporting clients and optimizing sites. I’ve seen hundreds of WP websites. 

Most of them had one thing in common. They were sluggish. 

So when people asked me to make their site faster, I’ve done the same things over and over again:

– installed monitoring plugins
– installed caching plugins
– checked caching
– cleared databases
– run tests

All of it took HOURS (because the site was slow, each request took 10+s quite often), that’s when I decided to build my own tools. 

One module at a time I’ve started building WP Multitool around each idea/fix I found over those years. 

So the plugin encapsulates the 15+ years of my WordPress development experience and hundreds of hours of optimization practices.

It’s primarily tool for myself – to speed up the work I do – optimizing slow WordPresses. But I thought – since it’s useful to me – it will probably be useful to others. 

That’s why I decided to releases it. 

Besides optimization it’s also about CONTROL:

– all of those main dashboard widgets you didn’t ask for – you can disable
– XMLRPC and other insecure old WP “features” – you can disable
– 125 different sizes of thumbnails – you can select which you want to disable…

IMPORTANT – its not a CACHING plugin + it doesn’t optimize the image delivery or JS/CSS delivery (at least not much, there are some basic options) 

So it’s meant to be used in pair with some quality frontend optimization plugin like Perfmatters, or WP Rocket etc.
